To the attention of foreign nationals applying for a tourist or K2 visa
Foreign nationals traveling for tourism purposes to Mongolia for up to 30 days, don’t have to apply for a visa for the following reasons:
Nationals of countries with an Agreement between the governments concerning mutual travel of their citizens can travel to Mongolia without a visa for a period specified in the international agreement
K2 (tourist) up to 30 days, single or double entry visa can be applied directly to the Diplomatic Mission of Mongolia abroad.
Citizens of countries included in the "List of countries eligible for Mongolian e-visa" approved by Annex 1 of the joint order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Justice and Home Affairs A/49 and A/187 dated August 17, 2021, can apply for a K2 (tourist) e-visa for up to 30 days directly by visiting www.evisa.mn
Citizens of countries included in the “List of countries that can apply for a Tourist visa without a visa permit at the international border”, approved by Annex 2 of the joint order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Justice and Home Affairs A/49 and A/187 dated August 17, 2021, can apply for a visa directly at the international border if the intended length of stay is for up to 30 days.
If a foreign national’s intended length of stay exceeds 30 days or departs from a country that does not have a Mongolian diplomatic mission, the inviter must apply for a visa at the Immigration office of Mongolia.
